There you go. Officially from the son himself, Mukhriz Mahathir. Mukhriz Mahathir testified at the High Court today that his father Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had plans to topple Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak since 2014.
Mukhriz Mahathir was replying to a question by DS Tengku Sarifuddin Tengku Ahmad's lawyer DS Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos on whether he agreed with his suggestion that the former premier had attempted to topple Najib from 2015.
The former Kedah Mentri Besar agreed with the suggestion, but added that the plan likely began in 2014. He also agreed that Dr Mahathir and former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had plans to topple Najib, but denied that they had "conspired" to do so.
Wait a minute. The 1MDB issue exploded only in 2015. So it was not about 1MDB after all. The plot of Anti Najib Campaign suddenly become thickens.
