"It says that the China leaders are unhappy with mahathir and did not wanna meet him until his last leg of the trip. As compared to Trump and Najib, they met up with the China leaders either before the meeting starts or during the first two days of visit.
Even though Mahathir emphasize that the ECRL project will go on, but Mahathir has commented that they want a new contract instead of the contract that Najib signed. The crucial point now is how are they gonna do that without incurring further debts to the country. China, on the other hand, is waiting to see how they can offer a better contract for the ECRL if malaysia wanna forfeit the old contract.
As the contract has been awarded, China wants Malaysia to take up full responsibility if they wanna void the old contract n draft a new one to award to new contractors. China will not be the fool and will not budge."
